Ranu Mondal, Nightingale Internet Sensation

Ranu Mondal, 50 years old resident of Kolkata becomes internet celebrity when her video went viral on social media. Mondal belongs to a very poor family. Her husband passed away a few years back and since then she was surviving by singing at railway stations. Her video went viral when someone recorded her singing Lata Mangeshkar old song Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai from a movie Shor, 1972. They recorded that video at Ranaghat Railway station in Kolkata.

Her video went viral and becomes an internet sensation. Many in Bollywood also watched that video and have called Rana Mondal at reality show on Sony channel. At the show music director Himesh Reshammiya also offered her a song in his upcoming movie. Even there is news that people from Bangladesh, Kolkata and Maharashtra are calling her to sing.

Ranu Mondal singing is so good and how gracefully she sang that song that people are enjoying it very much. This proves in the time of internet if you have talent, no one can stop you to become famous. Life gives everyone a chance, grab it or accept it with both hands.
