Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Aligarh’ To Be Screened At JNU Today

Hansal Mehta’s latest controversial feature Aligarh is all set to be screened at JNU today which what is at present caught in a row over an event commemorating Afzal Guru’s death anniversary.

“Excited to show Aligarh at JNU tomorrow. No better place to have conversations on society, politics and our film than this hotbed!,” film’s director Hansal Mehta said in a Facebook post tagging actor Manoj Bajpayee.

The movie will be screened at 2 PM today at school of arts and aesthetics.

Supporting the right to dissent of JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar who was released from Tihar yesterday after being lodged there for 18 days in a sedition case, Mehta said on twitter , “Don’t know #KanhaiyaKumar enough to be a supporter. But I support his right to dissent. And I support my right to dissent.”
