In shocking revealation it has been found that underwold don Dawood Ibrahim, who is wanted in India for his role in 1993 blasts, has been in touch with Indian politicians. According to a report in a leading English news channel, Dawood’s call records show that he frequently dialled Indian numbers. In fact, they revealed that the top five most dialled numbers are all Indian. The call details records of the last seven months, provided by a Pakistani telecommunication company, were analysed by the channel.
The channel accessed the call records from Pakistan Telecommunication Comapany Limited- which is the biggest telecommunication company in Pakistan. The records further showed that the calls were made from four landline numbers, which are all registered in Dawood’s wife Mahzbeen Sheikh’s name. All the four landline numbers are also registered at Dawood’s sprawling and luxurious mansion in Karachi’s posh Clifton area. This comes just days after an indian journalist had revealed a recent photograph of Ibrahim, which was allegedly taken in Karachi.
Although the details of who the Indian numbers mentioned in the call records belong to, have not been revealed, this development is shocking as Indian intelligence agencies have long been looking to nab the don. There were rumours that the don was not well and had been infected with lief threatening gangrene, but the rumours were dispelled on Tuesday by Dawood’s right hand man and his probable successor in his business- Chhota Shakeel. Questions about who is going to succeed the don came after he turned 60 this year.
