This has devasted life of many and pushed them towards poverty. Covid-19 has generated great risks and problems. People are not able to feed their children and provide their families with essential needs. Though a number of efforts have been made by the government to restrain the negative outputs with the distribution of rashan and direct funding still there is a lot need to be done.

Features of the scheme

Keeping in mind the necessities, prime minister has come forward with all new gareeb kalyan rozgar Abhiyaan. This scheme aims to provide employment to those who left their working place due to impose of lockdown over the nation for the prevention of virus spread. Here are the features of gareeb kalyan rozgar scheme that will limit down capital problem to a great extent.

1. Coverage :

around 116 districts from 6 states will be covered under this scheme. This is because of the reason that almost 2/3 of the migrants are found to be in these states. It has been noticed that most of below poverty line people are seen here and the development in these states will amount to overall development. The list includes Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Odisha.

2. Duration :

this campaign is for the duration of 125 days. This period will help migrants in earning some living for the family and facilitate the upbringing.

3. Execution :

there are a total number of 12 ministries that had opened their work service for the migrants. The list has ministry of road transport and highways, mines, sanitation, panchayati raj, rural development, drinking water, environment and railways that will ensure the execution of scheme.

4. Expenditure :

the government is ready to spend Rs. 50,000 crore for this and is standing in support if migrants strongly.

The villages are going to come together for this through Common Service Centre (CSCs) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVKs). This will ensure the participation and record of each village.

This scheme will not only facilitate the improving of human index but also will teach few of the modern ways to use the technology. This will also promote the learning of new services along with improving the status of laborers. This is a good approach by the prime minister of India and Hopes are on this scheme for positive results.
